Refund Policy

Effective as of February 11, 2022.

Refunds may be available for paid Service as described in our Refund Policy below. For details on our refund deadlines and policies, please refer to the information below.

Please note that our policies differ between subscription payments, one-time payments, and payment options. Please also note that we have no obligation to offer refunds to users who violated these or other CLESSON policies, even if their refund requests are made within the designated refund period. Violations are determined at our sole discretion. If CLESSON determines that you are abusing our refund policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse or restrict any and all current or future use of the Service without delivering a refund.

For Monthly Subscriptions

(for Plus Membership or Specialization Plan)

Since CLESSON offers one-week free trial promotion, CLESSON does not offer refunds for payments made on a monthly subscription plan. To avoid being charged during a free trial promotion, you must cancel your subscription before your one-week free trial ends. If you complete a Specialization course during the free trial period, CLESSON reserves the right to require you to pay for a one-month subscription.

Your subscription will continue on a monthly basis until you cancel, or the subscription is suspended or discontinued by CLESSON. You must cancel your subscription before your monthly renewal date to avoid the next billing.

If you cancel your subscription, cancellation will be effective at the end of the current monthly period; you will continue to have access to your subscription for the remainder of that period, but you will not receive a refund.

For Yearly Subscriptions (for Plus Membership)

Should you become dissatisfied with the Service within the first [14 days] after purchase and request a refund, CLESSON will refund the [full amount] of your purchase and subsequently terminate your access. Refunds are not available for customers [14 days] after a purchase. Nonetheless the foregoing, refunds are not available for partially used periods.

Your subscription will continue on a yearly basis until you cancel or the subscription is suspended or discontinued by CLESSON. You must cancel your subscription before your yearly renewal date to avoid the next billing.

If you cancel your subscription after the refund period of your subscription, you will continue to have access until the end of the subscription period and will not be billed for the next billing cycle.

For One-time Course

If you cancel your paid enrollment for a standalone course, CLESSON will offer you a [complete] refund until [14 days] after payment. For avoidance of doubt, once you have started your course, you are not eligible for a refund even if it is within [14 days]. Notwithstanding the foregoing, shorter refund periods may apply to specific courses (e.g., for courses that are part of certain programs, you will only be eligible for a [full] refund until [seven] days after your payment date).

Third-Party Marketplaces

If you purchase any Service through a mobile purchase or third-party marketplace (e.g., through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), the refund policy applicable to that third-party marketplace will apply, unless otherwise explicitly stated by CLESSON. Except as otherwise explicitly stated by CLESSON, the third-party marketplace will be solely responsible for making refunds under its refund policy, and CLESSON will have no refund obligations. CLESSON disclaims any responsibility or liability related to any third-party marketplace's refund policy or the third party's compliance or noncompliance with such policy.

European Users Right of Withdrawal

In addition to the refund policies set forth above, if you have a right of withdrawal under the relevant laws in your country including any applicable European Union or the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland laws, then:

  • You have a right of withdrawal for a period of 14 days. You may withdraw your contract with CLESSON for the Services, without giving any reason, and without incurring any costs other than those provided for in this clause.

  • The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day that your contract was concluded. However, you do not have a right of withdrawal a) if the Services have already been fully performed with your prior express consent and with your acknowledgement that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Services have been performed by us or b) if the Services have begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you will lose your right of withdrawal upon beginning use of the Services.
